Camper trailer AC unit hits Glenridge Road bridge, damages car

In Glenville, New York, on July 26, a camper trailer struck the Glenridge Road railroad bridge. A 43-year-old California man driving a 2024 Ford F-450 was towing a 2025 Brinkley trailer. The air conditioner on the trailer roof hit the bridge, fell off, and damaged a 2014 Toyota following behind. No injuries were reported. The driver was charged with a code violation for over-height vehicle restrictions and a New York state traffic violation for failing to obey a traffic control device.

Multiple Companies Respond to RV Fire in Sussex County

Multiple fire companies responded to a recreational vehicle (RV) fire on Saturday afternoon in Sussex County, Delaware. Crews from Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department, and Millsboro Fire Company arrived at a reported fire on Warwick Road. Initially classified as a structure fire, the incident was amended to a vehicle fire. Firefighters extinguished the fully engulfed RV. The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Warwick Road. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.

Azdel and Impact Guard develop camper roof that withstands over 2.3 tonnes

Azdel and Impact Guard have introduced a three-layer composite roof for campers that can withstand loads exceeding 2,300 kg. The structure consists of an 8 mm Azdel RVX composite layer and Impact Guard fibreglass, bonded thermally without adhesive. An aluminium radius profile is installed around the perimeter, and an additional fibreglass layer is applied to create a seamless system. Tests show that standard OSB panels fail at 2,000 kg, while the new roof shows no visible deformation above 2,300 kg. Manufacturers are expected to offer it as an option or in premium packages.

Keystone RV $3.1 million Passport trailer class action settlement: file a claim

Keystone RV Co. agreed to pay $3.11 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it misrepresented the roof construction of certain Passport Western edition trailers. Eligible consumers who purchased a new trailer in California before Dec. 1, 2019, with a serial number ending after HX414101, may claim up to $2,000 per trailer. Claimants must confirm their trailer has wood roof trusses. The deadline to file a claim is Aug. 28, 2026, with payments expected by Oct. 2, 2026.

The two-story motorhome The Heat, owned by actor Will Smith for over a decade, is now available for rent at the 7744 Ranch in Texas for $295 per night. Built by Anderson Mobile Estates in the early 2000s, the 22-wheel vehicle features two floors, a kitchen with granite countertops, two living rooms, a bathroom with a sauna, and a cinema for 30 people with a 100-inch screen. The original cost of the motorhome exceeded $2.5 million.
