South Korea's Shinil Electronics, in collaboration with camping cookware brand 800°C, has introduced the 'All-in-One Electric Oval Pan'. The device combines an electric pan and an oval grill, supporting cooking of soups, grilled dishes, and steamed meals. It features an M-shaped stainless steel heating element for even heat distribution, a detachable pan for easy cleaning, and a non-stick coating. The unit is compatible with induction, halogen, electric, and gas stoves. A storage bag is included for portability. The design uses a matte black finish typical of 800°C products. The launch aims to strengthen Shinil's portfolio in camping and home kitchen appliances.

LG Group is reportedly exploring the possibility of entering the automotive market with purpose-built vehicles (PBVs). While the company has previously denied direct plans to manufacture cars, its subsidiaries, including LG Electronics, have already collaborated with Kia to develop a camper based on the PV5. Analysts note that the PBV segment remains a 'blue ocean,' and LG could leverage contract manufacturing through partners like Renault Korea or GGM.
The South Korean pickup market is undergoing a transformation. Following the launch of the Kia Tasman, which ended KG Mobility's dominance, GMC Canyon and Ram 1500 have entered the market. In the first four months of 2026, 9,606 new pickups were registered, a 3.5% increase year-on-year. Pickups are increasingly seen as lifestyle vehicles for camping and off-roading, not just work trucks.
