Motorhome driver Michel Letraveler received a letter from Italian debt collection agency Nivi S.P.A. demanding 119.36 euros for an allegedly unpaid toll from September 2020. He claims he paid the toll on the spot and provided bank statements as proof. Under Italian law, highway concessionaires can claim payment within ten years, leading to widespread retrospective demands.
In May 2026, French motorhome owner Michel received a letter from Italian debt collection company Nivi S.p.A. demanding €119.36 for an unpaid toll in Genoa from September 2020. Michel claims he paid €80.50 on the spot and provided bank statements as evidence. Under Italian law, the statute of limitations for such debts is 10 years, and EU Directive 2019/520 has facilitated cross-border data exchange, leading to an increase in such claims years after travel.
Luigi and Cinzia arrived in Castronno on Thursday by motorhome and are already exploring the town with GPS in hand. They are participating in the Mega-Event 'Geocaching Made in Italy', scheduled for May 30 at the local festivity area. The event has attracted over 800 participants from 15 European countries. One of the caches is hidden in a bookcrossing spot outside the local newspaper office.
For Vasco Rossi's double concert in Ferrara on June 5–6, 2026, a temporary campsite with 250 pitches has been set up at the municipal velodrome. A dedicated guarded parking area for motorhomes, S1 Camper, is available near the fairground, bookable via Parkforfun. Tent rental is sold out, but pitches for personal tents can still be reserved.

Center-right groups in Alghero have submitted a unified agenda on managing itinerant tourism. They call on the Cacciotto administration to implement concrete measures within 30 days: TARI cuts for year-round facilities, temporary service areas with waste disposal, enhanced surveillance, and a camper passport system for waste verification. The move follows a communication incident that damaged the city's image as welcoming to motorhome tourists.
