Scania STX 3 POP S590: red motorhome with V8 that can be driven on a B license

At the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, the luxury motorhome STX 3 POP on a Scania S590 chassis was presented. It features a 16-liter V8 engine with 590 hp, weighs 26 tons, but can be driven by holders of a B license obtained before 1996. Equipment includes three slide-outs, an e-bike garage, solar panels, panoramic windows, heated floors, a 15-bottle wine cooler, Bose sound system, steam oven, washer/dryer, central vacuum, 43-inch TV, two awnings (6×3 m), Wi-Fi with 4G/5G, and a diesel generator. Price: 8.2 million Swedish kronor.

Volkswagen updates Grand California for off-grid capability

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced updates for its flagship Grand California camper van. The 600 and 680 models now feature photovoltaic solar panels (104W and 174W respectively) and a new optional Self-Sufficiency package with dual 40Ah batteries and a 92Ah AGM battery. Usable electrical charge has increased by nearly 40%. Pricing starts at €83,508 for the Grand California 600.

Illegal camp in Fischach: Residents and mayor annoyed by caravan parking

Around 150 vehicles, including numerous caravans, have set up on a meadow near the entrance to Fischach. Mayor Benjamin Früchtl issued a deadline until Monday noon, but the campers, belonging to a French free church, ignored it. The camp is located in a landscape protection and flood zone, making it illegal. Police are considering eviction but deem it disproportionate due to families with children.
