A couple from Vancouver, after losing their son to a fentanyl overdose, opened an alcohol- and drug-free campground in Nova Scotia. The 8-acre site offers 10 RV hookups, tent sites, a playground, and walking trails. The campground opened last fall but was closed due to wildfires; this is its first full season.

On Haida Gwaii (British Columbia), a solo female van-lifer assisted a family whose mother hit her head and lost memory. The incident occurred at Hayden Turner Campground, where 911 was unavailable. The woman drove the injured mother and three children to the hospital, then returned to her chores.

Jagger and Dawson Glowatsky from Vegreville, Alberta, launch a six-episode series 'Young Farts Trailer Parts' on Prime Video on July 17. Chuck Hayden, a full-time RV traveller, reported that a group threw items at his vehicle and banged on it in Flowers Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador, around 3 a.m. on July 9. The incident was reported to the RCMP. The Town of Flowers Cove stated it is installing cameras in response to an 'ongoing pattern of disrespect and destruction on municipal property,' including vandalism and misuse of off-road vehicles. Hayden, who sold his home and has been travelling for four and a half years, said the experience has not changed his love for the province.

Lakeshore council unanimously supported a notice of motion Tuesday from Ward 3 Coun. Kelsey Santarossa asking administration to create a new bylaw for recreational vehicle storage. The decision was made on July 15, 2026.

A woman died after a collision between an RV and a car on the Trans-Canada Highway near Whitbourne. The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on July 14, and the highway was closed until 1:00 a.m. on July 15. The 71-year-old female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene; a passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the RV were assessed by paramedics. The cause is under investigation.
