12-year-old boy dies after electric shock from travel trailer in Federal District

On Friday, July 24, a 12-year-old boy died after receiving an electric shock from a travel trailer in Itapoã, Federal District. According to the Military Fire Department, the victim was found near the trailer after trying to retrieve a ball that had rolled underneath. The trailer was connected to a residence via an extension cord. The owner stated he did not witness the incident and could not confirm the shock, claiming the cord was disconnected. Police are investigating.

Municipal department seals inactive trailers, gives owners 5 days to remove them

Six abandoned or inactive trailers on public land in Cuiabá were sealed by the Municipal Department of Public Order (Sorp) on the evening of January 23. The structures were located on Avenida dos Trabalhadores, near the Residencial São Carlos and Santa Inês neighborhoods. Owners have five days to remove them. Some previously notified trailers had already been removed. Several sealed trailers displayed sale or rental signs but continued to occupy public space illegally. If owners fail to comply, the trailers will be forcibly removed by the municipality.

From January 16 to 19, the DankenFest took place at the Almiro Grings event park in Igrejinha (Rio Grande do Sul), celebrating the 202nd anniversary of German immigration to Brazil and the 180th anniversary of the city's colonization. The event brought together owners of motorhomes, kombis, vans, caravans and tents.
