On Tuesday evening, a motorhome with five people collided with a moose on Highway 8 in Kruunupyy, Finland. No injuries were reported; the moose died. Three rescue units responded.

A motorhome collided with a moose on the Riksåttan road in Finland. The alarm was received around 11 PM. The moose died at the scene.

On Thursday morning at 8:10 AM on Highway 8 near Eurajoki, a police car and a motorhome collided. According to the motorhome driver, the police car suddenly made a U-turn and hit the motorhome from behind. The front of the police car and the side of the motorhome were damaged; no injuries were reported. The investigation has been transferred to the Office of the Prosecutor General due to police involvement.

On Tuesday afternoon, a motorhome lost control and left Highway 3 in Lempäälä for an unknown reason. The driver was taken to hospital, traffic was partially closed and fully restored by 16:45.

Motorhomes are seeing a rise in electrical appliances, including fridges and stoves, increasing the need for off-grid power. To achieve a week of self-sufficiency without hookups, dealers recommend installing solar panels, two lithium batteries, and a 3 kW inverter, costing around €3,000–€4,000. Propulsion remains diesel due to weight limits (under 3,500 kg) and range constraints, making electric drivetrains unlikely in the near future.

The Finnish association SF-Caravan ry has named 49-year-old architect Patrick Holmström as Caravanner of the Year 2025. The award was presented at the association's congress in Uusikaupunki on May 23, 2026.
