German motorhome manufacturer Ahorn Camp GmbH from Speyer presented its 2027 model lineup in Ruppertsberg. The company, led by siblings Alexander and Franziska Reichmann, announced restructuring and a new strategic direction, expecting increases in sales and revenue.

German company Bürstner has launched the production model Signature SMT, built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The motorhome features a modular interior that can be reconfigured: during the day, the cabin serves as a lounge with swivel seats, and at night it converts into a bedroom with a double bed measuring 193×130 cm. The rear section accommodates two people. The body is made of fiberglass, and an extended front roof section houses an additional drop-down bed. The kitchen includes an induction hob, pull-out countertops, and a 138-liter refrigerator. The bathroom has a sliding wall for the shower. Available in lengths of 735 and 766 cm, with white or gray body colors. The base version 735 starts at €93,999.

Bürstner has unveiled the Signature SMT, a semi-integrated motorhome built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It is a sister model to the Signature SFT on Fiat Ducato, with identical floorplans but a 17 cm longer body and a starting price of €93,999. The four layouts include twin single beds or a queen bed, and a patented sliding bathroom. A gas-free kitchen with induction hobs is available as an option.

German brand NIESMANN+BISCHOFF unveiled the full-conversion camper iSmove 6.9 E on a Fiat Ducato chassis. Length 6.99 m, weight 3.5 t, price over 35 million yen.

Westfalia has introduced the Columbus Liner, a camper based on the Fiat Ducato that measures under 21 feet. The vehicle features three levels: a living room, a bedroom with a king-size bed, and a pop-top Sky Lounge. Standard equipment includes a wet bathroom, a 90-liter compressor fridge, an induction hob, up to 540 Ah lithium batteries, and a 3,000-watt inverter. The world premiere will take place at CARAVAN SALON 2026 in Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6). Pricing starts at €83,900.

On July 17, at the start of the summer holidays, Duisburg police, together with the NRW initiative “#sicherimStraßenverkehr” and DEKRA, set up heavy-duty scales at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena. A total of 81 motorhomes and caravans were weighed between 2 pm and 6 pm; the heaviest motorhome weighed 14,300 kg. The event also offered advice on security, gas safety, tyre checks, bicycle inspections and a driving simulator.
