The Sunnyvale City Council updated the city's 72-hour parking ordinance to address public safety concerns. Vehicles must now move at least 1,000 feet after 72 hours and cannot return to the same spot for 24 hours. Renting vehicles for habitation on public streets is prohibited. Enforcement began in June, with citations or towing at owner's expense for violations.
