Primus launches Moto Stove camping stove for campervans and rooftop tents

In Sjötorp (Mariestad Municipality), the conversion of a former bandy field into motorhome parking and car parking has been completed. This aims to ease traffic congestion at a popular tourist destination that suffered from a lack of parking during summer months. Previously, only about 50 spaces were available near the canal, leading to chaos. According to Martin Stenlund, land and development manager, the new spaces reduce the risk of illegal parking and make the area more functional.

Pampas marina has been granted permission to demolish padel courts on Barlastgatan in Västervik and build 16 motorhome parking spaces (ställplatser). The project includes reconfiguring an existing parking lot and constructing a new service building with toilets, showers, laundry, and a waste dumping station. Environmental and building officials recommended rejecting the application as it conflicts with the detailed development plan, but a majority of the committee voted to approve it in full.

From summer 2026, new EU GSR2 regulations require all new motorhomes to be equipped with driver assistance systems. Production costs are expected to rise by more than SEK 10,000.

Kabe has introduced its first partially integrated motorhome with all-wheel drive, the Novum Traq 750 LGB. Based on the Mercedes Sprinter with selectable 4×4, the vehicle features increased ground clearance and off-road tires. The motorhome is 7.44 meters long with a gross vehicle weight of up to 4.1 tons. Inside, it offers longitudinal single beds at the rear that can be combined into a double bed, along with an insulated double floor and water tanks holding approximately 170 liters. The price is around 150,000 euros.

Swedish motorhome manufacturer Lidköpings Husbilar AB has published its annual report for 2025. Revenue amounted to SEK 134 million, down 8.3% from 2024. The pre-tax loss was approximately SEK 3.4 million, compared to a profit the previous year.

A Volvo FM9 truck from the 1990s, converted into a fully self-contained camper, has been listed on the Swedish platform Blocket. Externally indistinguishable from a regular truck, it features a kitchen, sleeping area, bathroom, and solar panels. The price is 180,000 SEK (about €16,500) with 57,000 km on the odometer.
