On July 14, Sun Hao, marketing director of Dongfeng Nissan Motor Sales Co., Ltd., posted on social media expressing support for Xiaomi and interest in the first model of its Pengcheng brand. He said images of the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 reminded him of the Mercedes-Benz Viano Marco Polo, a compact camper with a pop-up roof he oversaw in 2005. On July 10, Xiaomi filed applications for four Pengcheng plug-in hybrid models: the N90 Max camper (a specialized vehicle with a pop-up roof, roof bed, side cabinets, and awning interface) and the N90 Max, N70, and N70 Max (multi-purpose passenger vehicles). All models use a gasoline-electric hybrid system, top speed 190 km/h, with a 112 kW M15DRE engine.
