Goldie Days 2026

Start date
12-21 June 2026

Goldie Days 2026

Goldie Days is an extended VW Bus holiday gathering in the Austrian Alps, held for ten days around the glacial ski and hiking resort of Hintertux in Tyrol. Focused on split-window and bay-window VW Transporters and campervans, it combines the passion of classic VW ownership with a spectacular Alpine setting.

Participants drive their Bullis up mountain passes, join guided scenic tours through the Zillertal, and gather for evening social events in the village. The long format allows for a true community immersion rather than a weekend show — attracting dedicated VW Bus enthusiasts and vanlifers from across Austria, Germany, and neighbouring countries.

Camping project in Bergern rejected

A plan to build a campsite with around 50 pitches in Bergern, Austria, has been rejected by the local council. Seven council members voted against initiating the zoning procedure, with two abstentions. The project's initiator, innkeeper Alfons Baldinger, expressed disappointment, noting the campsite was intended as a project for his son. Earlier, residents had raised concerns about noise and increased traffic.
