Daihatsu Atrai gains digital instrument cluster in 2026 update

Daihatsu has introduced a facelifted Atrai minivan, featuring a new Active Multi-Information Meter as standard on higher RS trims. The Smart Assist safety suite now includes cyclist and intersection detection. Dimensions: length 3395 mm, width 1475 mm, height 1890 mm. The 658 cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine produces 64 hp and 91 Nm of torque at 2800 rpm. Prices range from 1,738,000 yen for the base X 2WD to 2,013,000 yen for the top RS 4WD. Fuel economy is 14.7 km/L on the WLTC cycle.

Minami Dogo Onsen Teiregi no Yu to hold first all-night operation from August 13 to 15

The hot spring facility Minami Dogo Onsen Teiregi no Yu in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, will operate 24 hours a day for three days from August 13 to 15, 2026, the first all-night operation since its opening. Bathing will be suspended from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. for cleaning, but guests may remain inside. Overnight parking for campervans is also permitted.

At the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026 in Tokyo on July 11–12, 2026, Nissan Peesfield Craft unveiled the new Serena P-SV (Pop-up Roof Sleeping Version) based on the facelifted Serena launched in February 2026. The model features a manual pop-up roof with hydraulic dampers, creating an upper bed area of 2250×1100×1150 mm; combined with an optional lower bunk, it sleeps up to four people. Height is 1980 mm (2WD) or 2005 mm (4WD) when closed, and 3020 mm when raised. The roof offers closed and mesh positions for light and ventilation control, and includes a standard rain cover. Optional electrical equipment includes a heater, auxiliary battery, voltmeter, and dual socket. All powertrain and drivetrain options are available. Prices range from 3,795,000 yen (X, 2WD) to 5,151,300 yen (e-4ORCE Highway Star V, 4WD) including tax, approximately 1 million yen above the base model.
