Launch of the project

On April 18, 2025, Donghua Hospital in Nantou County, Taiwan, put into service two RVs converted into mobile medical clinics. The project aims to improve access to healthcare in mountainous areas, particularly in Zhushan and Lugu townships, where stationary clinics are scarce.

Equipment

The vehicles are fitted with diagnostic equipment: 12-lead ECG, portable ultrasound machines (including cardiac and neck ultrasound), X-ray machines, AI monitors, and stretchers. A telemedicine system enables real-time transmission of patient data to the hospital.

Additional information

According to sources, over the past year and a half, the hospital's home emergency team has made more than 400 visits to patients with limited mobility. Each RV is estimated to cost about NT$10 million.
