José Manuel Jurado, president of ASEICAR, stated that Spain lacks about 2,000 motorhome service areas, mainly along the coast. He noted that during peak season, coastal towns with 3,000 residents host 500,000 tourists, causing a severe shortage. Francisco de las Alas-Pumariño of the DGT said an updated instruction clarifies the inspection periodicity for motorhomes and converted vehicles, and confirms that local authorities can regulate motorhome parking, based on Supreme Court rulings.
