The Sant Lluís council announced that the motorhome area in Punta Prima will become paid from the next tourist season. The project includes renovation: the number of spaces will increase from 7 to 18, with electricity and internet points. Management will be handed over to a private company on a pilot basis. Two tariffs will be introduced: a general one (overnight stay up to 72 hours, reduced to 48 in July-August) and a cheaper one for grey water disposal only. Users are divided: tourists mostly accept paying for improved services but criticize being treated like a campsite, while those living in vans out of necessity fear the fee will remove their last affordable option, potentially worsening the island's seasonal worker shortage.
