A campaign for designated stopover areas warns that bans on overnight parking for motorhomes and campervans in popular areas are deterring tourists. North Yorkshire authorities have made permanent a trial ban on parking along part of the coast from 11pm to 7am, introduced in 2024 following complaints about anti-social behaviour. Campaigners call for more official 'aires' instead of outright restrictions.
