The municipality of A Illa (Spain) is tightening restrictions on motorhome parking outside designated areas. Starting summer 2025, a new ban will be enforced at Riasón beach, where motorhomes have been gathering without control. The only public spot for 24-hour parking is the Obao lot with 24 spaces. In other areas like Area da Secada, parking is prohibited from 10 PM to 8 AM, and in Gradín and Comboa, all motor vehicle access is banned due to environmental damage. Mayor Luis Arosa stated that the measures are driven by waste and nature degradation, and that the municipality will continue its regulatory approach.
