Tighter camper van controls in Italy: Rosignano Marittimo and Viterbo

Italian manufacturer Giottiline has introduced the second model of its 'Be Young' special edition, the Giottivan 54 TY. Based on the Citroën Jumper or Peugeot Boxer, the 5.41-metre camper van comes with a Truma Combi gas heater, compressor fridge, awning, and Easy Clean upholstery. The base price starts at €46,800.

Construction has begun in Cividate Camuno for a new motorhome area. The project includes 40 pitches with a total cost of 240,000 euros. Completion is expected in autumn.

The municipality of Barolo warned residents and tourists about three thefts from parked cars and motorhomes in different areas of the town. Perpetrators damaged windows and door deflectors to access the interiors. No further incidents were reported after the official notification via the municipal chat. Authorities plan to enhance the video surveillance system and advise against leaving valuables inside vehicles.

Italian manufacturer Laika has introduced the new Ecovip Titanio motorhome series, built on the Fiat Ducato chassis. The models feature a grey-toned exterior, eco-leather and walnut veneer interior, and the MyLaika SCU system for remote control via app. The layout includes two sleeping areas, a kitchen with Fenix countertop, and high-density XPS insulation suitable for cold climates.
