How to read the plate
An Andorran plate is one letter and four digits (B0944). The letter is a series, not a parish (parròquia), so there is no regional marking. On the left are the arms of Andorra and the blue letters AND; under the number is the inscription PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA.
Region codes
Plates in this country do not show the region — you cannot tell it from the plate.
History
The letter-plus-four-digits format has been used since 1989, and the current plate design since 2011. Before that, numbers looked like AND 1234. Plates have never been tied to parishes.
