Panama P10+ Campervan 2027: two special editions Limited Edition and Sport Limited

Panama has introduced two special editions of the P10+ camper van based on the Ford Transit Custom for 2027. The Limited Edition features a 2.0L diesel engine (136 hp), white body, 2500W diesel heater, 600W inverter, 185W solar panel, and portable toilet. The Sport Limited gets a 170 hp engine, grey body with matte black roof, mosquito net kit, and cabin darkening. Both versions offer four berths, five travel seats, swivel front seats, a lighter rear bench with a new sliding mechanism, kitchen unit, 42L fridge, 50L fresh water, and 2m height. The battery charging system is upgraded to 22A and compatible with lithium batteries. Prices to be announced.

Chinese motorhome with pop-up second floor and terrace

Chinese manufacturer Qixing RV has unveiled a motorhome based on the Ford Transit that transforms into a two-story dwelling when parked. The Qixing RV Star Milk River Motorhome Villa Ford features an automatically rising roof that creates a second level with a terrace and viewing platform. When stowed, the vehicle maintains standard van dimensions. The price in China is around €145,000. In Europe, height, weight, and certification restrictions hinder the widespread adoption of such designs.

Spanish camper Panama P09: €20,000 cheaper than Volkswagen California

Spanish company Panama-Van has introduced the P09 camper based on the Ford Transit/Tourneo Custom. It is available with a diesel engine producing 136 or 170 hp, manual or automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The starting price is €52,900, about €20,000 less than the base Volkswagen California. The camper features two double beds, a gas stove, an outdoor shower, and a full set of safety systems.

XL Hybrids Offers Ford Transit Van Conversion

XL Hybrids has begun offering a gasoline-electric hybrid conversion for the 2015 and 2016 Ford Transit van and wagon, using its XL3 system. The system is compatible with any Transit wheelbase and roof height, and can be paired with 3.7L or 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engines. Installation takes about six hours and adds less than 400 pounds, with an estimated 20% fuel and CO2 savings via regenerative braking.

Benimar: Tessoro 2027 profiled models in Stormline version

At the Benimar convention on May 18, 2026 in Tarragona, the T443 profile of the Tessoro range for 2027 was unveiled. Based on a Ford Transit 130 hp, 6.99 m long, it features a transverse bed, lounge, and L-shaped kitchen, accommodating up to 5 people. The Stormline package includes a Ford Raptor-style grille, black bumper, 'Grey Matter' metallic paint, and blue mountain-inspired decals. Upgrades include an AGM battery, standard solar panels, a larger awning, a new electric drop-down bed (height 1.91 m), and lighter furniture. Price not disclosed.

Benimar Yrteo 2026: compact motorhome range now family-friendly thanks to drop-down bed

Benimar has revamped its Yrteo semi-integrated motorhome range, introducing three new floorplans and a revised classic model. All four variants are built on the Ford Transit chassis with automatic transmission and a 165 hp engine, now featuring a driver fatigue camera. The key update is a front drop-down bed (Hubbett), providing four berths across all models. Prices start at €60,990 for the compact Y 881 (5.99 m).

A magazine tested the new semi-integral motorhome Elnagh Baron Compact 539 on a route around Lake Trasimeno. The model, 215 cm wide, is designed for narrow roads and small villages. It features a Ford Transit 165 hp engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and ADAS systems. Inside: a living area with corner sofa, two single beds (convertible to double), compact kitchen, and bathroom with rotating sink. The garage accommodates bicycles and includes an e-bike charging socket. A 200 W solar panel is part of the Compact pack.

In early 2026, the motorhome market shifted toward compact models under 6 meters, equipped with intelligent systems. Manufacturers introduced LiFePO4 batteries, solar panels, and 3000W inverters, eliminating the need for generators. Waldoch Crafts Launches the StarLux Luxury Camper Van Conversion

Waldoch Crafts Inc., based in Forest Lake, Minnesota, announced commercial availability of the StarLux, a fully integrated camper van conversion on the Ford Transit 350HD High Roof platform. The model includes a driver-side private bathroom with shower and Thetford toilet, a passenger-side galley kitchen with induction cooktop and refrigerator, and an off-grid power system with a 200Ah AGM battery, 180W solar panel, and 2,000W inverter. Four Ford Transit 350HD configurations are offered, including rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants. Conversion components carry a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

Tuku Shenxingzhe F358 Pop-Top RV Debuts at Zhengzhou RV Show

The Tuku Shenxingzhe F358 pop-top RV will be displayed at the Zhengzhou RV Show. Built on a Ford Transit medium-wheelbase chassis, it features a 2.0T gasoline engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission, producing 147 kW and reaching a top speed of 156 km/h. The vehicle stands 2 meters tall and includes a hidden sliding bathroom, pop-top bed, 95L fresh water tank, 45L gray water tank, and a 7200W dual power system.

Ford Transit City – new electric van from €29,900

Ford has launched the Transit City electric van in the Netherlands, based on the Chinese JMC E-Fushun. Three body styles are available: L1H1, L2H2, and L2 chassis cab. All variants share a 150 hp electric motor and a 56 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of up to 254 km. Pricing starts at €29,900 for the chassis cab, undercutting the larger E-Transit Custom (from €44,390).

VanLife Campers unveils the FOX on Ford Transit: a new Class B camper van

Canadian manufacturer VanLife Campers announced the FOX, a new Class B camper van built on the Ford Transit chassis. The model features all-wheel drive (AWD), four-season insulation, and full off-grid capability. It includes a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. The FOX is now available at dealerships in Montreal and Quebec.

Ford Nugget: 40 years of the Transit as a motorhome

In 2026, the Ford Nugget celebrates its 40th anniversary. Based on the Ford Transit and converted by German specialist Westfalia in 1986, the model receives a limited retro edition. The anniversary version features black-and-white stripes, a yacht-style wooden floor, and exclusive badges. The Nugget evolved through several generations: in 2000 the kitchen moved to the center, in 2013 driving dynamics improved, in 2021 Active and Trail variants appeared, and in 2023 all-wheel drive and hybrid powertrain were introduced.
