North Devon holiday park left without water in 30C heatwave

Caravan owners at Stowford Farm Meadows near Combe Martin were without water for days during record-breaking May temperatures. Baby needs lifelong care after Yorkshire Dales campervan crash

Rachel Pyrah, 45, was sentenced for causing serious injury by careless driving after losing control of her Peugeot Boxer campervan on the B6265 at Fellbeck on 31 May 2024. She struck a Volkswagen T-Roc carrying a family on holiday; a 14-month-old infant suffered a traumatic brain injury requiring lifelong multi-disciplinary care. Pyrah received 60 hours of unpaid work and a 12-month driving ban.

Council set to approve £100k plan for new seafront motorhome site

North Ayrshire Council is set to approve £100,000 in funding for a pilot motorhome site at Largs seafront. The money comes from the council's share of Crown Estate Scotland revenues, allocated for coastal communities. The project will convert Bowencraig East car park into a paid parking area with full facilities, including water and sewage. The site is expected to open in 2026.

m.connect 333 route to serve Silver Sands Caravan Site

From 15 June 2026, the m.connect bus service will add a stop at Silver Sands Caravan Site on the 333 Burghead to Lossiemouth route. The service operates Monday to Friday with six return journeys per day, linking the site with Burghead, Hopeman, Duffus, and Lossiemouth. The additional stop aims to improve access for employees, residents, and visitors as part of the Moray Growth Deal’s Bus Revolution project.
