The city council of Ferrol (Spain) has decided to draft a municipal ordinance regulating the parking of motorhomes and camper vans. The decision was approved unanimously at a plenary session, with the Socialist Party (PSOE) abstaining. The document will establish parking rules for these vehicles within the city.
TikTok user @miss_whitejuditart bought a used caravan for 1,900 euros and placed it on a plot of land. In a series of videos, she documents the renovation process, including replacing rotten wooden parts, fixing water leaks, and painting 31 cabinet doors. For the kitchen countertop, she uses porcelain tiles and handmade wooden trims to keep costs low. The project is ongoing, with a folding table still to be installed.
The Zestoa city council has finished painting parking spaces for motorhomes and camper vans in the Estación industrial estate. From Friday evening, parking is provisionally available in the blue zone and spots 9–18 of the green zone. Cars and caravans are not allowed. From May 29 to 31, a caravan and motorhome meeting is held in La Laguna de Barlovento, coinciding with Canary Islands Day and Las Cruces festivities. Organized by Caravaning Club La Palma – Isla Bonita, Amigos AC y Campers, and ESAD La Palma, with support from the Cabildo and Barlovento town hall.
A 42-year-old man was taken to Hospital Virgen de Valme after a collision between a car and a motorhome on the AP-4 near Los Palacios. The accident occurred on Thursday shortly before 1:00 PM on the Cádiz-bound lane. The motorhome was heavily damaged, but no extrication was needed. The crash caused hours of slow traffic and congestion in both directions, lasting into the evening.
The traditional Las Cruces festival in La Laguna de Barlovento (La Palma) on May 29–30 will coincide with a regional motorhome rally featuring 96 vehicles from across the archipelago. The municipality of Ribadeo (Galicia) has closed the suggestion period for a new ordinance regulating motorhome parking. Local authorities acknowledge the increasing number of such vehicles and related parking and sanitation issues. The final text is expected to differ significantly from the initial draft. After approval by the plenary and publication in the official bulletin, a one-month period for objections will be opened.
