Carstay adds new RVs and overnight parking spots

Carstay, a Japanese platform for RV rental and carsharing, has added three new vehicles and three overnight parking spots. The total number of registered RVs reached 490, up 38 from the previous month, while the number of parking spots remained at 320. New vehicles include the compact JP STAR Happy1 Turbo based on the Daihatsu Atrai, a camper based on the Toyota Camroad with free delivery to Kansai Airport, and the TABIVAN-O.W.L. based on the Fiat Ducato. One of the new parking spots is located at a hot spring facility in Nagano Prefecture.

Kashima Antlers stadium to host car camping festival

Kashima Antlers FC will hold the 'Mercari Stadium Car Camping Festival 2026' on July 4–5, 2026, at its home stadium in Kashima, Ibaraki Prefecture. The event offers 50 parking spots (7.4×5.5 m each) for both motorhomes and regular cars at 15,000 yen per spot. Activities include stadium tours, a campfire with live music, morning yoga on the pitch, and discounted access to the on-site spa. The festival aims to promote car-based travel and disaster preparedness.

Park and campsite in Japan renamed under sponsorship deal

The city of Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture, signed a naming rights agreement with Yamanashi Meijo Co. The Hakushu Oda no Mori Meisui Park and Oda no Mori Campsite have been renamed 'Shichiken Hakushu Meisui Park Beruga'. The contract runs from June 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028, with an annual fee of 1 million yen. The facilities attract about 200,000 visitors per year.
