German family explores Brittany by motorhome

A family of four from eastern Germany is touring Brittany in a motorhome. Family connects caravan to SNCF station electricity in Arc-et-Senans

On Monday 20 July 2026 at about 10:30, gendarmes from the Saint-Vit brigade community intervened at Arc-et-Senans station after an SNCF agent reported an unauthorised electrical connection. A family had forced the lock on the station's electricity meter to power a caravan parked nearby. Upon arrival, the person disconnected the installation. A complaint will be offered to the railway company for damage and illegal connection; legal follow-up depends on SNCF's decision to press charges.

Ruud de Wild to broadcast from camper in France on Radio 2

Dutch DJ Ruud de Wild will travel to southern France in a camper over five days, hosting morning and afternoon shows on NPO Radio 2 under the name 'Ruud du Soleil'. He is accompanied by co-hosts Vivienne van den Assem, Bettina Holwerda, and Gijs Hakkert. The first broadcast starts Monday at 6:00 AM from Peigney, 600 km into France. The program includes interviews with musicians, expat campsite owners, local winemakers, and a visit to the Galimard perfume house. The shows are also aired live on NPO 1 Extra.
