Journalist Lexi Ink (32) moved into an 18.6 sq m camper on her parents' property in Georgia (USA) after facing financial difficulties. Instead of paying rent, she cooks dinner every evening and helps with household chores. According to Business Insider, this arrangement has saved her thousands of dollars in rent and utility costs.

In the long term, Lexi plans to return to Florida. In Germany, a similar lifestyle costs around 800 euros per month on average when purchasing a used camper for 35,000 euros.
