Severe storms caused damage in Lake Preston and near Lake Thompson in South Dakota. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning after midnight, with wind speeds of 72 mph reported in Arlington. Lake Preston Fire Chief Brian Zeeck said a man was rescued from a tipped camper on Lake Thompson; crews cut a hole to extract him, and he was uninjured.

A travel trailer rolled onto its side on Interstate 15 in St. George, Utah, causing major traffic delays. Jason and Shannon Steinebach, owners of lakefront property on Green Lake, filed a civil lawsuit in Allegan County Circuit Court against Leighton Township. The suit challenges the validity and selective enforcement of Ordinance No. 2025-12-11-RV, which regulates camping trailers and recreational vehicles on private property. The plaintiffs allege improper adoption, selective enforcement, and violations of the Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act, along with First and Fourteenth Amendment claims. A preliminary injunction motion is pending, and a federal complaint is being prepared.
