Customs seize yacht and motorhome in smuggling attempts from Switzerland

In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, tourists often mistake parking a motorhome for camping, risking high fines. Wild camping is prohibited in national parks, nature reserves, forests, and coastal areas. Fines for camping in protected areas can reach up to 5,000 euros. Authorities advise using legal parking spots, even if located away from the water.

Westfalia has unveiled two versions of the Nansen camper van based on the Fiat Ducato. The 600 L model features transverse bunk beds and a full-width bathroom, unusual for this segment.
