The German Ministry of Defence is considering temporarily housing troops in requisitioned civilian motorhomes. An internal document outlines a plan to recruit up to 83,000 such vehicles due to a shortage of barracks. Owners of selected motorhomes would have to surrender them for at least nine months while continuing to pay vehicle tax and insurance.
