Drivers of caravans older than 2016 face fines up to €200 for missing ITV sticker

In the El Llano de Sacaba area of Malaga, Spain, an informal settlement of motorhomes, campervans, and caravans has formed. According to local residents, the number of people living there permanently or semi-permanently has grown significantly amid the affordable housing crisis. Among the inhabitants are people with stable jobs, including police officers, who cannot afford to rent an apartment. Residents say they are forced to stay there due to a lack of alternatives.

Nissan has updated its commercial van range for the Spanish market, introducing Townstar, Primastar, and Interstar models. According to them, the parking exceeded permitted parameters: motorhomes occupied more space than allowed, and their owners placed furniture and other items on the street. The city council stated that it had already identified violations and is monitoring the situation, emphasizing the temporary nature of the measure, which is only in effect during the competition.

The Federation of Business Associations of Tarifa released a video taken on the night of June 3 showing dozens of motorhomes illegally parked in the protected Los Carriles and Los Lances Norte area of the Estrecho Natural Park. The organization warns of environmental damage and calls for stricter controls.
