Ruhsat — Turkish vehicle registration document

Ruhsat is the official Turkish vehicle registration document. It records make, model, engine and chassis numbers, use class (M1, M2, O1, O2, etc.), engine displacement, tax class, and owner. Since 2022 also available as an electronic e-Ruhsat.

Key fields for caravan owners: «cinsi» (vehicle type — self-propelled or towed), «kullanım amacı» (purpose, often ÖAT — özel amaçlı taşıt), «istiap haddi» (load capacity), and «kayıtlı azami yüklü ağırlık» (registered gross weight). The ruhsat must be carried in the vehicle for road-side police checks. Changes (purpose, camper conversion) are processed at the Trafik Tescil Şubesi.
