A couple from Dorset bought a motorhome for €25,500, only to discover two days later that its permissible gross weight of 3,850 kg exceeds the limit for a standard driving license (3,500 kg). The dealer agreed to take it back but withheld €3,450, sparking a consumer rights dispute. A consumer rights expert stated the dealer may have violated the law by failing to disclose the weight issue, knowing the buyers only had a standard license. In the Netherlands and the UK, similar rules apply: driving a motorhome over 3,500 kg requires a C1 license.

Bridgend County Borough Council has confirmed it has initiated a legal process after several caravans gained access to playing fields at Litchard late on Monday evening. Council officers visited the site, informed the owners they are parked illegally, and are working with South Wales Police. The council is conducting mandatory checks and welfare assessments to ensure the safe removal of the caravans.

Members of Currie Star FC in south west Edinburgh have raised concerns after a group of caravans parked on their pitches without permission. Around a dozen caravans and other vehicles were spotted at Dovecot Park on Lanark Road. Rounton Coffee from North Yorkshire spent five months converting a vintage Viking Fibreline caravan bought on eBay into a mobile coffee shop. It aims to serve 10,000 cups of coffee at events in Yorkshire and northeast England this summer.

Max Bruno, 67, who lived in his truck on Two Tree Island car park (Essex, UK), was evicted following a court injunction obtained by Southend Council. His truck was destroyed, identification lost, and temporary accommodation not provided. The eviction was based on complaints of anti-social behaviour, including defecation, urination, and a caravan fire.
