On August 29, a seminar on the high-quality development of motorhome and caravan tourism was held in Beijing as part of the 2026 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei vehicle travel consumption season. Industry experts discussed standards, IP, internationalization, culture, consumption, and legal issues. A parade of 100 vehicles departed from Miyun on four themed routes, and two free scenic area tickets and four self-drive routes were announced.

China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced support for RV consumption and the development of campsites, intensifying competition for hotels. The Mars 7 PHEV features a 2.0T hybrid system with 350 kW combined power and 800 N·m torque, supports 46 kW DC fast charging (30-80% in 30 minutes) and 25 kW DC + 6 kW AC external power supply. The Mars 7 Tanjie Camper measures 5995×2095×2360 mm, is powered by a 2.0T diesel engine with 48V mild hybrid and 8-speed automatic transmission, and offers a pop-up roof, integrated kitchen, and separate wet and dry bathroom areas.

Two volunteers from Chongqing and Sichuan have converted a motorhome into a free food and drink station for rescue workers in Gyirong County, Tibet. Unable to enter the disaster zone due to access restrictions, they parked near the staging area for rescue vehicles. During one afternoon, the station served six boxes of instant noodles. The volunteers plan to leave once their supplies run out.

In China, an owner of a four-wheel-drive pickup motorhome added a winch, upgraded shock absorbers and all-terrain tires, selecting every available option. The vehicle is intended for off-road use and long trips. Details on the model and price were not disclosed.
