A barn on a farm in Rhauderfehn burned down completely overnight on Tuesday. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to other buildings; no one was injured. A classic car, a motorhome, a passenger car and several harvesters stored inside or in front of the barn were destroyed or severely damaged. Police estimate the damage in the lower six-figure range. The cause of the fire is unknown; the site has been sealed for investigation.
An old caravan was dumped in the Schneidmühlengrund area of Floh-Seligenthal, Thuringia. The site is near a designated motorhome parking area popular with tourists in summer, as well as an outdoor pool and hiking trails.
An 80-year-old man sold his six-year-old caravan to a dealer for €1,500 after the dealer measured 43% moisture at one spot and claimed the caravan was only scrap. The dealer paid immediately, papers were transferred, but the caravan remains with the seller. Two lawyers declined the case. The owner suspects fraud.

A California woman chose glamping over traditional camping for a trip with her nine-year-old son to avoid stress. They stayed at The River Electric glamping site in Guerneville, sleeping in a canvas tent with two double beds, electricity, and access to a pool and restaurant. According to the author, glamping provided boutique-hotel comfort while allowing them to enjoy nature without the hassles of classic camping.
