At the Le Tannay campsite in Thiennes, northern France, a father and his son were found dead. The father died of a heart attack in the toilets, and the child was found dead in a mobile home. They had arrived at the campsite in May. Police are investigating.
Dutch DJ Ruud de Wild will travel to southern France in a camper over five days, hosting morning and afternoon shows on NPO Radio 2 under the name 'Ruud du Soleil'. He is accompanied by co-hosts Vivienne van den Assem, Bettina Holwerda, and Gijs Hakkert. The first broadcast starts Monday at 6:00 AM from Peigney, 600 km into France. The program includes interviews with musicians, expat campsite owners, local winemakers, and a visit to the Galimard perfume house. The shows are also aired live on NPO 1 Extra.
On 20 July 2026, a collision between two cars and a motorhome occurred on the A10 motorway near Thénac (Charente-Maritime), in the Bordeaux–Paris direction. Traffic is completely halted; around 20 firefighters, three ambulances, a SMUR team and gendarmerie are on scene. Entry onto the A10 is advised against.

French customs intercepted a Dutch caravan carrying 80 kg of potatoes during a large-scale check at the Valence-Nord toll station. The driver, a 52-year-old man from Apeldoorn, claims the potatoes were for personal use. Authorities say it is the largest seizure in years. Also found were a stock of peanut butter and 40 packs of chocolate sprinkles.
