Egypt, with its developed infrastructure and unique natural assets, could become a regional hub for this type of tourism, provided that equipped campsites and a clear regulatory framework are established.
A fire broke out in a caravan on Street 306 near the stadium in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. The cause was a short circuit. Firefighters put out the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby caravans. No injuries were reported; legal procedures have been initiated.
For Eid al-Adha 2026, camping in Egyptian nature reserves (Wadi El-Hitan, Ras Mohammed, Wadi Degla) saw unprecedented demand.
