We factor in temperature, wind, sun and conditions by the sea.
The country score (0–100) is computed from all of its cities, not a single point. Cities are grouped into regions, and a region's score is the median of its cities so dense clusters don't outweigh sparse ones. Final score = 0.65 × “best areas” (80th percentile of regions) + 0.35 × “typical conditions” (median of regions), so one warm city can't push the whole country to 100. Each city's score blends warmth (feels-like), sun, rain and wind, adjusted for night temperature and, on the coast, the sea. Data: Open-Meteo, refreshed several times a day.
The scale above shows what share of the country's cities falls into each comfort band. “Best spot” is the most comfortable region or city this week; “typical conditions” is the median score across regions.

All NewsDr. Atef Abdel Latif, head of the Travel and Tourism Association, stated that caravanning is one of the fastest-growing segments of global tourism. He noted that the global market for motorhomes and caravans reached $51.6 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to $75 billion by 2034. Egypt, with its developed infrastructure and unique natural assets, could become a regional hub for this type of tourism, provided that equipped campsites and a clear regulatory framework are established.
A fire broke out in a caravan on Street 306 near the stadium in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. The cause was a short circuit. Firefighters put out the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby caravans. No injuries were reported; legal procedures have been initiated.
For Eid al-Adha 2026, camping in Egyptian nature reserves (Wadi El-Hitan, Ras Mohammed, Wadi Degla) saw unprecedented demand. The cost per person per night, including permits and equipment, ranges from EGP 800 to 1,500, compared to hotel rates starting at EGP 5,000. Reserves were fully booked 48 hours before the holiday. The season is estimated to have created over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs for local communities, including guides, equipment rental, and catering.
The governor of North Sinai and a UNICEF representative in Egypt inaugurated mobile medical caravans at the health insurance hospital in Al-Arish. The caravans are equipped with modern medical devices for diagnosis and treatment, and will also conduct health awareness campaigns. The project, supported by the European Union and UNICEF, aims to improve healthcare access in remote areas of the province.
Hamdi Ezz, head of the Egyptian Tourist Guides Syndicate, stated that ecotourism and camping in Egypt have undergone significant development. He noted that new camps in desert areas are built using natural materials and operate without technology to preserve the environment.
Civil Defense forces in Qalyubia Governorate extinguished a fire that broke out in a group of caravans used for supervision in the El Magd district of New El Obour city. The fire was contained to prevent its spread; there were no casualties, and material damage is being assessed.
