For Eid al-Adha 2026, camping in Egyptian nature reserves (Wadi El-Hitan, Ras Mohammed, Wadi Degla) saw unprecedented demand. The cost per person per night, including permits and equipment, ranges from EGP 800 to 1,500, compared to hotel rates starting at EGP 5,000. Reserves were fully booked 48 hours before the holiday. The season is estimated to have created over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs for local communities, including guides, equipment rental, and catering.
The governor of North Sinai and a UNICEF representative in Egypt inaugurated mobile medical caravans at the health insurance hospital in Al-Arish. The caravans are equipped with modern medical devices for diagnosis and treatment, and will also conduct health awareness campaigns. The project, supported by the European Union and UNICEF, aims to improve healthcare access in remote areas of the province.

Civil defense forces in Giza extinguished a fire in a caravan in 6th of October City. Investigative reports indicate an electrical short circuit caused the blaze, resulting in two fatalities.
