John Petrie, owner of Niagara Trailers, has been named Ontario's RV Dealer of the Year by ORVDA, recognizing his leadership and industry contributions.

The rebuilt campground at By-Mac Park opened on August 24, 2026, in Houston, British Columbia. The site now features 24 RV sites with electrical and water hookups, a wash house, and a new boat launch. The project, costing approximately $2 million, aims to boost tourism and diversify the local economy following the closure of Canfor's sawmill, which resulted in a loss of $1.2 million in annual tax revenue.

Swiss tourists Ulrich Gerber and Renate Schöni parked a rented camper at a Walmart in Squamish, B.C., and went shopping. Returning in under an hour, they found the vehicle towed.

Organizers say Salt Spring's first purpose-built permanent recreational vehicle (RV) community is coming to Beddis Road, with plans for as many as 50 pads. The project, which could be completed in 12 months, would be the first of its kind in British Columbia, offering year-round affordable housing. Rents are projected at $850–900 per month, and Lookout Housing and Health Society will operate the property.

The owner of a large motorhome parked on Mutual Street in Toronto says she is tired of being harassed and insists she is trying to follow parking rules. She claims the vehicle is used as a residence and that she and her husband are seeking legal solutions. The city has issued multiple parking tickets for the vehicle.

On Aug. 25, the Department of Finance Canada published the full list of products subject to retaliatory tariffs, effective Sept. 8 (874 tariff items). The tariffs, at rates of 15%, 25% or 50%, mirror U.S. Section 338 tariffs and cover $27.6 billion in U.S. imports. Finished RVs, motorhomes and trailers are not on the list, but steel, aluminum, wood, furniture and other components are subject to duties.
