Canadian company Moonlit Campers from Whistler has unveiled a camper van based on the Ram ProMaster. The exterior is discreet, but the interior features a Japandi style with Roman clay walls, a slatted ceiling, and wood-effect vinyl flooring. A key feature is a hidden bathroom under a hinged countertop, including a waterproof wall, wooden shower mat, and portable toilet. The van includes a HappiJac lift bed, two 175W solar panels, a 400 Ah battery, and a 60-liter grey water tank, enabling off-grid living for multiple people.
David and Jennifer Sinclair, traveling in a Tiffin Allegro Bus Class A motorhome, lost their Chevy Colorado pickup truck during a fuel stop in Fort St. John, British Columbia. The tow base plate attached to the truck's frame broke off at an intersection, and the couple drove away without noticing. A video of the motorhome dragging the truck's bumper has been viewed millions of times. The Sinclairs retrieved the damaged truck and postponed their trip to Alaska.
Canadian company Vancini Conversions has unveiled the Big Hill Springs project, a camper van built on a 2025 Mercedes Sprinter with all-wheel drive. The model features a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine, nine-speed automatic transmission, and Van Compass Stage 4.3 upgraded suspension. The interior includes custom finishes, a kitchen without a built-in hob, a two-person sleeping area, and a 920 Ah electrical system. The camper is designed for year-round use and adapted for travel across Europe and North America.
Winnipeg-based clothing company Mondetta has spent $500,000 converting an RV into a mobile showroom for its Modern Ambition brand. The vehicle will travel across Canada, complementing new stores planned for Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary. The announcement was made during ScaleUP week, a series of business growth events.
