Rescuers from Kazakhstan's Emergency Ministry extracted a motorhome with Dutch tourists that got stuck in a swampy area of the Mangystau region. They arrived in high-cross-country vehicles, pulled the vehicle out of the mud, and escorted it to the highway. The tourists continued on their own and did not require medical assistance.

Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov at a government meeting instructed regional akims to accelerate the creation of camping tourism infrastructure. The reason cited is an acute shortage of equipped accommodation for tourists during peak season, forcing vacationers to use undeveloped sites. The instruction covers the organization of parking and areas for tents and motorhomes.

Thomas Len and Constanze Kühnel from Munich have been living in a motorhome since 2012, visiting 70 countries. They arrived in Kazakhstan for the third time, traveling from Germany to Atyrau in 60 days. The couple plans to continue to Mongolia, China, Laos, and Cambodia.
