Bürstner to end caravan production from 2027

German manufacturer Bürstner has announced it will cease production of caravans as of January 1, 2027. The company, which has been building towable caravans since 1958, will shift focus entirely to motorhomes and campervans. The decision is driven by a sustained decline in demand for caravans and the growing popularity of self-propelled models. Bürstner will continue to supply spare parts and service for existing caravans.

Off-road motorhome adventure in Florida

A driver of a 4×4 motorhome nearly rolled over in a seemingly harmless mud puddle in Florida. The incident occurred at 5–10 km/h: the front wheel lifted off the ground due to sudden weight shift. The author warns that the high mass of the motorhome (hundreds of kilograms in cabinets, water, batteries) makes it extremely prone to tipping on uneven terrain. Even upgrading shock absorbers and leaf springs did not solve the problem — the stock stabilizer bar of the Mitsubishi L200 cannot handle the extra load.
