Motorhomes are significantly less common in Russia than in the USA due to high ownership costs and lack of infrastructure. Key factors include the high price of purchase and maintenance, a shortage of specialized parking areas, and vast distances between settlements.

The workshop Vanaconda Customs has presented a camper van based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The van is equipped with a kitchen including an oven, a separate bathroom, a transformable lounge area, and autonomous systems, including solar panels with up to 600W of power.

Studio RE:BURO has unveiled the HYTTE motorhome concept featuring a barrel-shaped body and a modular platform. The design uses clamping elements and cables to secure the living unit, allowing it to be adapted for various purposes. The project remains a concept, with no announced timeline or price for series production.

Motorhome travel has not become widespread in Russia, unlike in the United States. The main reasons are the high total cost of ownership, including fuel, maintenance, and storage, the lack of developed camping infrastructure, and the vast distances that complicate logistics.

A family from Moscow region converted a 2013 Dodge RAM 1500 pickup into a camper with a living module costing 2.7 million rubles. They have traveled thousands of kilometers across Russia and other countries, abandoning hotels and tours after an expensive trip to Teriberka.

A campsite with six parking spaces for motorhomes will be built in Ufa near the "Golden Ring of Bashkortostan" road route. The 20 million ruble project will receive budget co-financing and will be equipped with electricity, water supply, a rental point and sports facilities.
