Every year on May 1, caravans take up spots at the 'Watterlebnis Sehestedt' campsite in the Wadden Sea National Park. Guests, mostly from the region, report 200–300 bird nests per season. If a storm surge threatens, the caravans must be quickly moved behind the dike.
