Custom text: real plates never carry this combination.

How to read the plate
The generator draws the previous series: white characters on black, the province code, two pairs of digits and two letters separated by dashes (LD-38-75-CL, where LD is Luanda). Only the code LD is confirmed by reliable sources. In the new series (since about 2024) every number begins with LDA, because numbers are assigned centrally in Luanda, so the province is no longer visible.

History
Under the colonial system of 1955–1996 the number read Axx-00-00: A for Angola and two letters for the registration zone (AA–AI Luanda, BA–BC Benguela, CB Cabinda, LD Lobito, NL Nova Lisboa, SB Sá da Bandeira). The 1996/2004–2024 series then began with a two-letter province code, and since about 2024 new chip plates have been issued.
