O1 sınıfı karavan — Turkish trailer up to 750 kg

O1 sınıfı karavan is the Turkish classification for a towed caravan or trailer of up to 750 kg gross weight (per AB 2007/46). Towable with a standard B-class licence — no separate BE required.

Service brakes are optional on O1 — most units come with only a parking brake. TÜVTÜRK inspection is required every two years. Registration and tax costs vary by vehicle class; trailers (O1) are typically taxed differently from motorhomes — confirm current rates with the registration authority or an authorised dealer. The «mini caravan» segment from local Turkish builders mostly falls into the O1 class. From 1 July 2025 (EGM update), trailers produced after that date must carry registration plates.
