A mini rodante is a compact 350–800 kg caravan popular in Argentina and Chile, equivalent to a US teardrop trailer. Designed for two people with an outdoor kitchen and towable by a small car without a special licence.

Common models: Casita Rodante Argentina, Mini Magni, Rodantes Chile «Mini». 3–4 m long, garage-friendly height. Basic kit: double bed, 12 V electrics, fold-out rear kitchen. New price: $6,000–15,000. Most units stay under 750 kg, so no extra approval is needed.
