Furgo vivienda — Spanish van registered as habitable

Furgo vivienda is a Spanish camper van that has been through homologation and is recorded on the ficha técnica as "vivienda" (habitable use). It can be legally used as a motorhome, insured as such, and slept in under standard Spanish parking rules.

It differs from an unlegalised camper van or a multi-purpose commercial van. Full legalisation requires a camper homologation, an engineer's proyecto técnico, an ENAC-accredited informe de conformidad, and an ITV de reforma appointment. A legally registered furgo vivienda can be insured as a motorhome, motorhome parking rules apply, and it retains the original van dimensions — more practical in cities than a full-size motorhome.
