Ficha técnica — Spanish vehicle data sheet

The ficha técnica (also "tarjeta de ITV") is the Spanish official document that records a vehicle's technical data: VIN, MMA, tare, seats, category, homologated tyres, conversion details, etc. It is issued with the permiso de circulación and must always be carried in the vehicle.

After an approved conversion, the ficha técnica is updated with the new category (e.g. "vivienda"), the new authorised seat count, and the reform recorded with its manual code. Without this update the conversion is illegal even if the ITV de reforma has been passed. If lost, a duplicate can be requested at the DGT.
