One producer, Abdul Hadi al-Subaie, reported that his facility produces eight units per month, with a six-month waiting period for delivery. Increased demand is linked to simplified camping permits in national parks.

Algerian authorities have banned camping and movement in forest areas from May 1 to October 30, 2026, due to high wildfire risk. The measure includes a ban on barbecues, cooking, and gatherings in forest lands. Violators face up to six months in prison and fines. The decision follows several years of severe fires caused by climate change and heat.

The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has set rules for eco-camping permits. Maximum site area for individuals is 5,000 sq m, for organizations — 25,000 sq m. Permit valid for up to 90 days, renewable with civil defense approval. License fee is 1,500 SAR, refundable deposit is 1,000 SAR. Fine for unlicensed camping is up to 10,000 SAR.
